Ha Tien Transportation Joint Stock Company was initially Transportation enterprise formed under the license No. 145/TCT – TCLD on 28th April 1994 of Vietnam Cement Corporation. From 1994 to 2000, this enterprise was a dependent unit, internal accounting and transported for Ha Tien Cement No. 1 Company. On 21st January 2000, Prime Minister signed a license No. 24/2000/QD-TTg to change Ha Tien Transportation enterprise to Ha Tien Transportation Joint Stock Company.

Company’s major products and business activities: waterway transportation, inland domestic and international transportation; materials and transportation equipments trading; landing space operation and other businesses in the legal framework. Company is one of the major companies in goods transportation provided 2 key services inland and waterway transportation. Waterway transportation revenue accounts for a big part of 80% in company’s yearly total revenue. Company has a leading waterway transportation vehicles force in transportation capacities in Ha Tien and Cuu Long Delta region. In 2004, company holds 6.5% market share of total goods volume transportation in the South (equivalent to 2.75 millions tons with 152.69 millions tons per kilometer). It is the only waterway transportation company supplied input materials for Ha Tien Cement No. 1 Company and part of Ha Tien Cement No. 2 Company, in which 90% of waterway transportation revenue is from these two sources of transpotation. The goods mainly transported for these two companies are Clinker, gypsum, Puzolan from ha Tien and ports to Thu Duc and vice verse from Thu Duc to the Western South.
